Two separate stabbing incidents over the weekend claimed the life a teenager while the other remains in critical condition at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).
On Saturday morning, Joel Monreal Garson reported to the Buhangin Police Station that his son Jenoel Ron was stabbed to death by two persons at the Corner Forestal Amakan, Cabantian, Buhangin, Davao City.
This prompted Chief Inspector Jack Tilcag of the Buhangin Police Station to dispatched investigators to verify the incident.
In the initial investigation, Tilcag said it was learned that the victim was walking with friends after attending a wake when two persons identified as alias Densio and alias Kiking waylaid then stabbed them. Densio and Kiking were known to be residents of Indangan in Buhangin.
Jenoel sustained a lone stab wound on the lower part of his armpit. He was rushed to SPMC but he later died while undergoing treatment.
On the other hand, 38-year-old nursery helper remains in critical condition at the SPMC after he was stabbed Saturday night in Samulco Village, Catalunan Pequeno, Davao City.
SPO2 Bryan Tejano, of the Talomo Police Station, identified the victim as one, Charlie Patilla Dabal, a resident of Sitio Kawa-kawa Purok 17, Mintal Davao City.
According to the police report, the victim was walking along a street in Samulco Village when the suspect identified only as alias Pesio appeared stabbed him.
However, the victim, who was able to parry the attacks, sustained a stab wound to the chest. The suspect fled to unknown direction.
Police have launched manhunt operation against the suspects in the two stabbing incidents.
