One hundred and forty three teams all over Minda-nao are expected to join the 1st Rizal Memorial Col-leges (RMC) Football Festival dubbed as “One Team, One Goal, One Family, One Mindanaoan Football” that will kick off today, Saturday, at the Tionko football grounds.
Guesting before the weekly Davao Sports-writers Association (DSA) Forum held at The Annex of SM City Davao, RMC academy adviser Deo Maambong, who repre-sented RMC sports director Albert Ryan Lim teams from Cotabato City, Midsayap,
Compostela Valley province, Montevista, Nabunturan and Davao City will compete in the tournament.
A simple opening ceremony will be held before the start of the games that will be graced by top offiials of RMC such as RMC chairman Leo Tereso Magno, lawyer Ernesto Raphael Robillo, vice president for adminis-tration, RMC’s senior high principal Albert Musico and Davao Regional Football Association (DRFA) pre-sident Erwin Protacio.
The competing teams will play in 7-A-Side format football festival.
The categories in the tournament are under-six (U6), U7, U8, U9, U10, U12, U13, U14, U18, men’s open and women’s open and 35 above.
The lucky winners in the tournament will get medals and trophies.
