Once you get to know the strategy of getting high grades in class, you will surely never stop aiming for more excellent results.
Several learners wanted to know how to become a consistent honor student. Some started it since their primary or kindergarten years and they were able to maintain excellent grades. Others take their studies seriously in high school.
One of the consistent honor students at Ateneo de Davao University is Grade 11 learner Andryc Carbonilla. He achieved a general average in class making him the first honor for the first semester acade-mic year 2017 to 2018.
Carbonilla said you should be fully determined and never give up being an honor student. “Always listen in class and never hesitate to ask questions when you do not understand the subject matter,” he said.
However, he said there’s no such thing as “average student.” He added that there is no hierarchy or rank or whatsoever. “We are all equally capable of doing anything. It’s all in our mindset and attitude.”
A consistent honor student, Carbonilla said being an honor in class is not due to the genes or blood. It is not passed on to you from your parents. It is merely out of pure hard work. You truly worked for it.
In addition, he said being an honor student does not necessarily define your intelligence. Instead, it defines more on your diligence to study well and like how you face and handle tasks, duties, obligations, etc.
Finally, Carbonilla said, if you’re not one of the honor students in your class, do not fret because these are merely numbers. What matters most is actually the way you’ve learned everything in class. Also, he added that it’s not really the high grades that matters most; it’s the good or pleasant attitude you show while at work and being well-mannered in the company or institution as well.
