PARANG, Maguin-danao — Thirteen suspects have been arrested in an intensified anti-drug operations here Sunday as police continue to receive tips from residents, a police official said.
Jointly conducted by the Parang police and anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Min-danao (PDEA-ARMM), the raid, covered by a search warrant issued by a local court, led to the arrest of 10 males, three females and two minors involved in illegal drug trade.
Agents swooped down on a residential compound in Barangay Poblacion 2 at past 5 p.m., surprising residents but gave out thumbs up signs, according to Chief Inspector Erwin Tabora.
Tabora, town police chief, said the site of operation was a known drug influenced village of the seaside town of Parang.
He named the suspects now detained at Parang police lock up cell as Myra Mamarinta, 30; Alejando Besillote, 57; Alma Ampato, 41; Mary Jane Bisillote, 36; Ruel Baula, 50; Ryan Valmes, 35; Jamail Adam, 19; Nelson Bisillote, 37; Joel Ambong, 33; Rabiano Besillote, 40; Abdullah Mapute, 18; Faizal Zailon, 39; Matanog Kansi, 39; and two minors.
Seized from them were marked money, several sachets of prohibited drugs and paraphernalia.
