CDO Funtastyk, known for its young pork tocino, launched a new campaign with Maine Mendoza dubbed as “Basta Tocino, Forever Young, Forever Funtastyk.” The campaign highlighted the brand’s superior attributes – made from 100% young pork and no need to boil – where CDO Foodsphere largely attributes its success to.
“Our desire to ensure consumer satisfaction is very strong. Definitely, our 100% young pork proposition is one strong reason why our consumers remain loyal to the brand. This is also a major reason for non-users to switch to us,” Inna Ong, brand manager, said.
The brand continuous to dominate the tocino market nationwide based on the Kantar Consumer Home Panel Household Survey for MAT January 2017.
“We are glad that more and more mothers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao are shifting to CDO Funtastyk Young Pork Tocino,” Ong shares. “We are also happy to work with Maine again for this campaign. She has been very instrumental in carrying our brand message across our market.”
When asked about her new campaign, Maine likewise points to how she has always been a fan of the brand.
“Basta tocino, forever young, forever Funtastyk lang talaga,” Maine added. “Sobrang tender nito, hindi tulad nung kino-consume namin before na tough ang meat.” It is with this that the product can be fried directly; one does need to boil it prior frying as it is already tender. “Dahil gawa sa 100% young pork, there’s no need to boil pa,” Maine shares.
As much as Maine enjoys her favorite tocino, she shared how she also enjoyed doing the shoot for the brand’s new TV commercial.
“Very unique ang concept. Parang ilo-launch namin na very mysterious sa tao – kung ano nga ba ito at kung anong klase ng beauty product. Sa bandang huli, magugulat sila na tocino pala. I think it’s very fresh for consumers to see this kind of campaign. I enjoyed shooting the material.”
“In most things, wala talagang forever. Buti pa sa Tocino, meron. Aside from 100% young pork and no need to boil, tinatangkilik din nang marami ang CDO Funtastyk Young Pork Tocino, dahil wala itong salitre at hindi gaano lumillit kapag niluluto.”
Maine concludes, “Sa mga hindi pa nagta-try, lipat na sa country’s top-selling Tocino.”
