The Department of Public Works and Highways Region 11 declared that the portion of the city’s Diversion Road that was covered by a landslide Thursday is now passable.
Dean Ortiz of DPWH Region 11 said that the boulder that rolled down the highway had already been removed.
“Nakuha nato nato mga 5:15 p.m. of the same day” Ortiz said.
He also said that the DPWH is widening the road from four to six lanes.
After the landslide, motorists were diverted in order for DPWH personnel to perform their work in clearing the debris and removing the boulder.
Oliver Navales, Station Commander of the Talomo police station, said he had immediately deployed his men to help loosen the traffic in the scene right after the DPWH cleared the area.
