Combined elements of the Anti-Scam Unit of City Hall, the National Bureau of Investigation, Investigation and Detective Management Bureau of the DCPO and the City Traffic and Transporation Management Office, served a search warrant in Diaz Mall along Bolton St. Wednesday. Four were arrested.
Retired Police Supt. Simplicio Sagarino, Chief of the Anti Scam Unit, identified the arrested persons as Aurelio Solis Sarmiento, 30, of Sto.nino Brgy. San Antonio Agdao; Marjun Duero Ayala, 30, of Bucana St.; Shadudin Ampao Zaimal, 26, of Bajada; and Jessenel Masauding Balangiho, 29, of Kasilac Bucana.
The search warrant was based on the order of Judge Jill Rose Jaugan Lo of the Regional Trial Court Branch 14 for the violation of Art. 172 of the Revised Penal Code.
Sagarino said that the arrested persons were involved in the making of falsified documents.
“Involved na sila pagbuhat ug mga peke na ducomento, sama anang driver license, DFA certification, transcript of records, diploma ug Phil. Health ID” Sagarino said…
Police said they conducted surveillance for several weeks in order to establish the involvement of the persons in their allegedly unlawful act.
“Dugay na namo sila ginamonitor, infact nagbuhat nami ug test buy sa ila, nagpahimo mi ug mga documents dayon among gidala sa mga hintungdang ahensya, unya ila gi certify nga mga peke gyud na” Sagarino explained.
Seized during the raid were equipment used in the manufacture of documents. These included computers, printers, and a laminating machine.
The suspects were then brought to the regional NBI office for proper documentation and the filing of the case in court. Richy Nalagon
