Two of the world’s most trusted companies Hafele and Bosch strengthen their presence in Davao City with the opening of their warehouse and showroom facilities.
Hafele Philippines Inc with the newly-opened warehouse located in Barangay Pampanga in Davao, first introduced its German quality hardware fittings to the Philippines’ local furniture and construction industry when they first opened in Pasig and Cebu cities in 1995.
Hafele showroom, which is the first in Davao and Mindanao, carries fast moving items of Hafele.
“And we just keep on extending our products range such as architectural hardware, appliances, sliding doors, hinges and all the kinds of fittings,” said Stefan Wolf, Hafele product management and technical department manager in an interview.
Wolf said the company is doing steadily in Davao and it has seen the performance of its products. Wolf said the company is also extending its product range.
“That is why we feel the need to have our own warehouse in Davao. The warehouse is roughly about 300 square meters,” he said.
Wolf said Hafele is now gearing to be a major player in appliance business as well as in furniture supply. With the opening of its warehouse, Wolf said it is the first step to achieve the company’s goal and the setting up of a team of salespeople and growing partners in the consignment business.
Right beside Hafele warehouse is the Bosch’s first showroom in Davao.
“There’s a difference in the market that our products served. While Hafele is more on architecture hardware and together with Hafele appliances it is more on kitchen appliances,” said Efren Reyes, Kitchen and Appliance Division sales manager.
Apart from opening a showroom, Bosch is also going to be working with the biggest kitchen company in Davao the Urban Mazzini which recently has put up a factory here and will be Bosch’s next outlet in Davao.
“We are also supplying Victoria Plaza and maybe if we find a suitable place in Abreeza we’ll establish one more in there,” he said. Maya M. Padillo
