The title retention bid of the University of Min-danao (UM) Davao male spikers is still alive in the ongoing 2017 Abreeza Ka-dayawan Open Volleyball Tournament at the Abreeza Ayala Malls parking lot.
The UM spikers bounced back from their opening loss to defeat Alorica, 25-21, 25-13, in their second game of the volleyfest officiated by event officiated by Bali-bolista De Dabaw.
The UM spikers were earlier defeated by DAF, 25-22, 18-25, 23-25.
The UM volleybelles also won their first game by beating Ace Volleyball Club, 25-16, 25-22.
The Holy Cross of Davao College Lady Cru-saders also entered the winning column by beating Jose Maria College, 25-14, 25-22, while the HCDC men Crusaders escaped past Davao City National High School, 25-21, 25-20.
