LandBank of the Philippines (LandBank) will showcase its agri-financing program especially for MSMEs in the upcoming Davao Agri Trade Expo 2017 (DATE 2017) on September 21 to 23 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang Premier.
Jose dela Cruz of LandBank said the MSMEs can borrow money depending on the requirement of their project which will be evaluated by the bank.
He said LandBank can offer financing to borrowers engaged in livestock, poultry, dairy and aquaculture industries through cooperative, companies, sole proprietorship and even associations.
“There are different types of borrowers and we can cater to all of them,” Dela Cruz said.
Dela Cruz said LandBank’s portfolio of more than 80 percent in the agricultural sector and the amount increases every year.
He said that during the three-day DATE the LandBank will be displaying financing programs and brochures in their booth. There will be agri financing activity through group discussion involving four industries: poultry, livestock, dairy and aquaculture.
Dela Cruz said Senator Cynthia Villar has been invited as guest speaker.
“We are here to support the Chamber although there are other activities during DATE. Even before we are already supporting DATE we are one of the sponsors and this year we are again supporting it. With our main programs for agriculture I think LandBank will be of great help,” he said.
Other banks that will be joining the agri financing forum include China Savings Bank, Banco de Oro, Development Bank of the Philippines, Security Bank, and also cooperative banks.
Apart from the agri-financing forum, DATE 2017 will also offer technical seminars to broaden the minds of the stakeholders of the different industries. On the first day, seminars on poultry, hogs, and dairy would be offered.
For those interested to start their own poultry farm can learn from Carl John Collado, VisMin Poultry Growing operations manager of San Miguel Foods Inc who will give his talk on poultry nutrition and management.
Dr. Amor Gomez, consultant for Poultry Broiler Operations, will conduct a seminar on the advancements on ventilation systems of poultry houses while the National Daily Authority, as one of DATE 2017’s sponsors would take part in motivating the businessmen’s minds to invest in dairy production.
B-Meg, one of the country’s leading premium hog pellet industries, will give stakeholders a seminar on hogs on the profitable raising of sows. Patrick Ty, managing director of BD Agriculture Philippines Inc, will tackle the effects of the environment and farm facilities on genetic expression in pigs.
