The Philippine Nurses Association (PNA)-Davao City Chapter will conduct its CPD-accredited seminar for nurses on May 27, Saturday, 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the Mahogany Room of Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) in Bajada.
Entitled “Seminar on “Basic Emergency Care Guidelines”, nurses are expected to attend in this activity next month. Other than being a requirement for the renewal of licenses, it will also update the knowledge and skills of all practicing and non-practicing nurses.
Jessica D. Alaban, president of PNA-Davao Chapter, said attending this upcoming nurse’s seminar will also hone the skills of nurses. The seminar is accredited for 3.5 CPD units.
Alaban said it is necessary to bring PRC cards when attending the seminar. And if a PNA member for 2017, bring PNA membership card, too.
The president of PNA-Davao said early registration is highly appreciated so as to prepare the snacks and certificates ahead of time. Alaban added that the pre-registration will be until May 24 only.
You may visit the PNA office and look for Vangie Montejo to pre-register. Pre-registration fees are as follows: PNA member (2017) is P250; Non-PNA member is P300, while on-site registration fee is P350.
“We are again reminding all professionals to check the expiration date of your PRC card because you might be qualified to renew your card before the implementation of the CPD units that is on July 2017,” she said.
PNA-Davao City Chapter, which is member of the International Council of Nurses, is encouraging all practicing registered nurses to renew their PNA membership for this year since the Chapter is serious in its mission to protect the people’s health and promote professional growth towards the attainment of highest standards of nursing.
