The chopped body of a woman found in Buhangin on Saturday was not the missing daughter of Sopriano Matruan Albarico.
Albarico’s daughter, Margie, is actually alive. She was found on Monday evening and turned over to the Compostela Police Station by Eugene May Emiguel of Compostela town, Compostela Valley province.
Police Chief Inspector Jack Tilcag, Station Commander of the Buhangin Police Station, said Compostela Police Station informed the Buhangin Police Station about Margie’s whereabouts.
Tilcag said he immediately informed the parents of Margie, who was reunited with his parents and relatives on Tuesday morning.
It may be recalled that a chop-chop body was found inside a cellophane dumped along Cabantian Road in Buhangin on Saturday. This was claimed by Albarico as her daughter, Margie who is deaf and mute and a resident of Purok 4-B, Arenas Compound, MatinaPangi, Davao City.
With this development, Tilcag said his team will again investigate the incident to track the suspect.
Unfortunately, Tilcag said the area where the parts of the lady’s body were found has no CCTV.
Tilcag is hoping witnesses would come out during the investigation. RichyNalagon
