Manny Pacquiao ramped up his training once more one week before his fight against Australian boxer Jeff Horn on July 2 by running up slopes and intensifying his sparring session.
In a report by Mark Zambrano on Balitanghali, Pacquiao was seen running along the hilly coastal area of Tinoto, Sarangani, near the cliffside area of the highway near the sea, until he reached his beach resort.
He followed the intense run with his police and mili-tary escort with abdominal exercises at the Pacman Beach Resort.
The WBO Welter-weight Champion also underwent a fierce, eight round sparring session that ended with sparring partner George Kambosos sus-taining a cut on his brow.
Both Pacquiao and coach Freddie Roach are confident that he is ready for the bout.
“Okay na, pwede na ako sa next week. 95%,” Pacquiao said.
“We’re just maintaining right now just starting to cut back on everything. His weight’s good so he’s already on the way. Everything’s a go,” Roach added.
Pacquiao will continue his training at the Pacman Wildcard Gym on Tuesday afternoon and will have his last sparring session at Brisbane, Australia.
