The authorities will continue to hunt down riding-in-tandem suspects responsible for so-called extra-judicial killings still being perpetrated across the country, according to Police Director General Ronald Dela Rosa.
Speaking at the launching of the PNP-Petron Lakbay Ligtas Program in Maa yesterday, Dela Rosa said reports have reached his office that the killings were committed by “Ninja Cops,” a group said to be determined to damage the image of the PNP.
“May mga pulis o yong mga Ninja Cops, galit sa atin, dahil nawala yong negosyo nila sa druga, may mga infor-mation din tayo na ang mga gumagawa nito mga tauhan ng mga ninja cops” Dela Rosa said.
“Kung totoo ang mga ito, rest assured we will take action on this,” he continued.
“We now have enough time to focus on crime prevention, and the motor-riding criminals will one of the (priorities),” he said, adding that in order to enhance police capability, a twin-engine Bell helicopter will be used to the PNP to further boost its capa-bilities.
At the program launching in Maa, Dela Rosa thanked the company for supporting govern-ment’s anti-crime by providing a police assistance booth in every one of its gasoline stations. Richy Nalagon
