The Fun Run spear-headed by the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) dubbed as “A road to 100 years Centennial Fun Run” was a huge suc-cess as it drew 500 runners over the weekend.
The fun run which had two categories, three and five kilometer races was participated in by SPMC employees from different departments including doctors, nurses, administra-tion, human resources (HR), utility officers and some ordinary citizens.
The run started at the Institute of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine going to SPMC along Jose P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City.
SPMC head Dr. Ricar-do Audan is very pleased and happy with the result of the worthwhile activity since they were able to collect some funds for the public hospital and its clients.
“80 percent of the participants came from SPMC and the rest from the public,” Audan told the Mirror.
Audan said the fun run which has a P300 registra-tion fee was organized to celebrate the 100 years existence of SPMC.
To bring cheers to the participants, a mini raffle was also done wherein one Ma. Irica Ruiz won a mountain bike. Roderick Jay Solera and Bong Ra-mirez also won a cellphone courtesy of Smart. Audan is very grateful to all the participants of the fun run which is a resounding suc-cess.
